About the Speakers:
Dr. Femi Akinbola has a Ph.D. in Business Administration. As a distinguished scholar with intellectual prowess in Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Family Business, Multinational Corporations, and International Business, he contributes to public and private sector dialogue and commercial policies through advocacy in Africa and around the globe. Femi is the Group Thematic Lead of Business Environment and Regulation for the MSME Community of Practice at the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG). He is the current Head of the Department of Business Management at Miva Open University, Abuja, Nigeria.
Mr. Alex Goma is a seasoned business leader with over 30 years of experience in building People, Customers, and Brands. He has worked with renowned companies such as P&G, British American Tobacco, Guinness, PZ Cussons, and Grand Cereals Limited. Previously, until April 13, 2023, he served as the Ag COO of Globacom Ltd. Before that, he held various roles including MD/CEO of Grand Cereals Ltd, External Affairs and Strategy Director at PZ Cussons Nigeria, Managing Director of PZ Cussons Consumer, Sales Director of Guinness Nigeria, Head of Trade Marketing and Distribution at BAT Nigeria, Country Manager for Senegal, Gambia & Mauritania, District Manager at P&G Ghana, District Manager North & West at P&G Nigeria, Customer Marketing Manager at P&G Nigeria, and Fabric care Customer Marketing Manager at P&G Egypt.
He holds a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Port Harcourt and a Law degree from the University of London. He is a member of the Advisory Board of AMT Digital Nigeria, a Non-Executive Director of Tomato Jos Ltd and KK Leasing Ltd, and a member of the Advisory Board of Edusko.com. He is also an Executive in Residence at the Lagos Business School, and a frequent public speaker on Leadership, Commercial Strategy, and Execution. He believes in the potential of Nigeria and Africa and is interested in helping individuals and organisations achieve their true potential.
