About the Speaker: 

Dr. Sam Oni is an accomplished academic, researcher, and public speaker with extensive expertise in virtual and physical classroom management. He holds numerous certifications, including Professional Virtual Event Planning from Whova Academy and several certifications from the Commonwealth of Learning in areas like Universal Design for Learning, Open Schooling, and Quality Assurance of Blended and Online Learning. Dr. Oni is a dedicated mentor, providing guidance to students and professionals in academic and career development, and has supervised numerous Master’s and PhD students in fields such as Public Administration and International Relations.

As a researcher, Dr. Oni has contributed significantly to the fields of public governance, legislature, and public policy, with publications in high-impact journals such as Sage, Springer, and Taylor & Francis. His work is indexed in prominent international databases, including Scopus and Web of Science. He has also presented at numerous local and international conferences and holds positions on editorial boards of prestigious journals. His involvement extends to serving as a Guest Editor and chairing various university committees on accreditation, quality assurance, and postgraduate matters.

Dr. Oni is currently the Head of the Department of Public Policy and Administration at Miva Open University, Abuja. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and earned his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Political Science (Public Administration) from Covenant University. His academic focus lies in public governance, legislative studies, and public policy, and he is an active member of the Board of Trustees for the Society for Legislative Practitioners.
