About the Speaker:

Prof. Tayo Arulogun the esteemed Vice Chancellor of Miva Open University, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to education. With a background in computer systems engineering and a deep commitment to open and distance learning, Professor Tayo is dedicated to providing flexible and affordable educational opportunities without compromising academic excellence.

His educational journey includes a B. Tech. in Computer Engineering from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, an M.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology.

Professor Tayo’s professional experience is extensive and diverse. He has served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Hasso-Plattner Institute for System Engineering in Potsdam, Germany, and as a Professor of Computer Systems Engineering at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology. He has also held positions such as Director of LAUTECH ICT Centre, Project Manager for the LAUTECH Open and Distance Learning Project, and Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Kampala International University, Uganda.

Currently, as the Vice Chancellor of Miva Open University, Professor Tayo continues to lead the way in innovative education. His interests extend beyond academia to include mentorship, leadership, reading/research, travelling, and gardening. His dedication to education and commitment to excellence make him a valuable asset to the Miva Open University community.
